Hay discos de esos que te marcan y te orientan en tu continua busqueda, que son la llave que abren la puerta a estilos a los que a veces es dificil entrar si no entras por el sitio correcto, y recuerdo las sensaciones que tuve cuando descubrí los "Nuggets" y los "Pebbles", con su apuesta garagera, o "The Great British Psychedelic Trip" en referencia a la sicodelia británica o el "Byrds Won´t Flay Today" con sus sublimes sonidos folk-rock. Y eso solo por citar los estilos que mas se tocan en este blog, pues en otros, también tengo mis discos "clave".

Y con los sonidos "moody" tengo que decir que fue esta la colección que me los descubrió, pues es un sonido que según por donde le entres, lo puedes aborrecer de por vida, pero con esta colección no te pasará, pues la selección es mu cuidada y los temas muy agradables de escuchar.

Al blog "Lady Play The Fuzz" le tengo un especial y ancestral cariño, pues cuando lo descubrí hace mas de diez años me quedé prendado, todavía recuerdo cuando escuche la primera compilación de Michelle "Blue Byrds Over The Canyon", obra maestra de los sonidos folk-rock, que ninguna otra colección, ni comercial ni privada a logrado superar. La escuchaba constantemente y no oía otra cosa.
Su blog duro solo cuatro años, pero creo que se mereció el prestigio en este mundillo de los blogs, por lo cual creo que es de justicia rescatar esta colección, que bajo ningún concepto debiera caer en el olvido, así que si contribuyo a ello me daré por satisfecho.

Dark Clouds is a six-part series of moody garage punk relics, published between 2009-2012, with a focus on the dark, tender, melancholy, and sentimental part of 60s garage punk. While I love a wild nugget, I feel more connected to the songs that expose a more vulnerable, relatable side. My goal was to dig from the most obscure corners, sourcing these tracks through various means: fellow bloggers, collectors, friends, CD and vinyl rips.
